About The Player
John “MayheM IV” Wiglesworth is the volunteer Esports Coordinator and Head Coach for Triton Esports and is also a Jr. Web Developer for the Office of Information Technology at the University of Guam. He has been playing League of Legends since Season 1 and has more than 14 years of experience competing in the Multiplayer Online Battle Arena (MOBA) genre.
Wiglesworth frequently played Defense of the Ancients (DotA) back in 2006-2010 with his friends and family. While anticipating the release of DotA 2, he became familiar with several other MOBA games that began releasing in 2009 and 2010. A year later, Wiglesworth joined his family in League of Legends. By the time DotA 2 was released in 2013, League of Legends had already established itself as “a preeminent global esport and a major factor toward the industry’s legitimization.” Wiglesworth still plays DotA 2 casually, but League of Legends dominates his competitive experience with more than a decade of competitive play.
The game has helped him grow individually, as a player, and as a coach. He is grateful for the friends he made playing this game and looks forward to many more years.
